Today nature’s paintbrush kept busy.
And blue was her favorite summer hue.
Sparking jewels from the first snow lay before me.
Stopping me in my tracks.
I want to roll boulders of white stuff for snow men.
Then spread my wings, creating snow angels.
But I’ll leave the play for children at recess,
While testing my skating skills on the way to work.
Grateful for the gifts before me.
