Think we need to see some pink.
That snow is making spirits sink.
And all that ice! It isn’t nice.
So when will it melt? Let’s roll the dice.
Winter’s white is quite the fright as we look out the door.
I’ve had had the flu. That made us blue.
I just can’t take much more!
Snow and ice aren’t very nice,
once thoughts have moved to spring.
Still sleeping in can be a win,
such warmth those blankets bring.
Winter wears her charms.
At two below, with fresh snow.
Warms cold hearts and souls.
Take those bright flowers.
Even if they last an hour.
Tonic for your soul.
I should have asked for some comfort and joy.
Instead Santa brought me a new squeaky toy.
So I stole Mom’s scarf. Don’t you think I look nice?
I may do it again. Without thinking twice!
May this New Year’s keep you warm.
I hope your roads are in good form.
If partying is not your style.
Just grab a blanket, for a while.
Then grab some treats. They’ll do the trick.
Just watch at midnight. Your hand I’ll lick!
